Governance

We operate to the highest standard of integrity and transparency. We are ethical in all our dealing with clients, key stakeholders, suppliers, employees and third party providers.

Our board of directors are responsible for the oversight and strategic direction of My Project.

The board meets on a regular basis (minimum 6 times per year) to review our policies, finances, updated reports on progress with the services we offer to our clients and to discuss the strategic direction for the project.

They are volunteers who receive no remuneration for their involvement with the project. They have a wide range of skills and experience from the world of business, volunteering and Charity work.

Board of Directors/Trustees

Jacky Flavin-Tehan – Chairperson

Jacky is a qualified chartered accountant having trained at KPMG.  She is an experienced finance professional with extensive and varied knowledge spanning audit and accounting, banking, property finance, investment management, tax planning, governance and compliance.  After building a strong foundation in auditing and accounting at KPMG, Jacky moved to Bank of Ireland where she held the role of Senior Manager in the corporate banking division of Bank of Ireland before becoming the Finance Director of Woodford Capital Management DAC, a Family Office in Dublin managing investments in Renewable Energy, Hotels, Commercial Property, Liquid Assets and various new ventures.  Jacky served as director on a number of Boards during her time at Woodford Capital.  In her spare time Jacky enjoys spending time with her family, tennis and walking with friends.

Jacky joined the board of MYP in March 2021.

Cathal O’Neill – Company Secretary

Cathal is an Associate Director in the M&A team at EY. He has nearly 10 years experience advising large corporations through business transformation and transactions. He is a qualified accountant and has a Business Degree from the University of Limerick. Cathal joined MYP in March 2021. He has recently returned back to Dublin from Canada, and is looking forward to playing a part in the local community and getting back to seeing the Irish rugby team in action.

Barry Quinn – Trustee

Barry is a former army officer and a retired oil company general manager.  He has worked across Europe for 27 years and has experience running a large international organisation.  He lives in Portugal and Monkstown and joined the board in March 2021 to make a contribution to the local community.

Leslie O’Hora – Trustee

Leslie has been involved with Voluntary sector in Ireland and Italy since his teenage years. Notably Les Glenans, GEA Ire, Association Joint Milan, ACOA St Patrick’s.

A Marketing Graduate, he has held a number of Director positions primarily in the Healthcare sector. Most recently he held a Development Director role in Atlantic Youth Trust.

 André de Almeida – Tusteee

Andre is a seasoned Project Manager with a strong focus on risk assessment and mitigation strategies. Originally from Brazil and now calling Ireland home for the past years, André has brought a unique blend of cultural richness, and international adaptability since 2022 to his work for MYP.  You’ll find André on the Jiu-Jitsu mats or exploring the Dublin Mountains.

Code of Conduct for Charities

My Project Minding You is fully compliant with the standards as defined in the Charities Governance Code. The board regularly reviews a Governance Checklist to ensure ongoing compliance is maintained.  A Tusla representative is an observer on the board.

Financial Reporting

We have submitted our Audited Accounts for the year ended 31/12/2022 to the CRO and the Charity Regulator (see downloadable links below). These accounts are available in the public domain.

Funding

My Project is funded by Tusla and the HSE Drugs & Alcohol Programme.

We also obtain periodic grant funding for specific projects from DLRCOCO.

Legal Entity

My Project is a registered Charity (Charity number 20040222).

We are a limited company registered in the Companies Office (Company number 202607).

Data Protection

In the course of our daily organisational activities, My Project acquires, processes and stores personal data in relation to:

  • Employees of My Project…Minding You
  • Clients of the project and their families
  • Other professionals involved in the care of clients and their families

Our policy is to deal with all personal information (data) in a strictly confidential manner.

We comply with the regulations as set down by Data Protection legislation (Irish Data Protection Act (1988), the Irish Data Protection (Amendment) Act 2003 and in particular The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (Regulation (EU) 2016/679).

My Project will ensure that all data obtained and processed is relevant for the purposes for which this data is collected.

If any client wishes to access the personal information held on our files they can do so by writing to us. These written requests will be processed as quickly and efficiently as possible, within not more than 30 days from receipt of the written request.
